The second is an open letter by Jerry Falwell titled “The Homosexual Revolution” which gives an example of the social conservatism of the era. The last document is a speech by Pat Buchanan at the 1992 Republican Convention in which both the political and social conservative ideologies blend together.

It describes the decline of the Soviet Union through Gorbachev’s reforms and the various ways that the US put more pressure on its rival.
